IPRC's 20^th Anniversary

On January 1^st, 2007 the UNC IPRC turned 20! When the program began in 1987, Dr. Patricia Waller was the Center Director and Dr. Carol Runyan the Associate Director. At that time the Center was a small "c" center and was housed jointly within the Highway Safety Research Center and the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. IPRC was one of five centers funded in an initial round of funding from the CDC, along with Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Washington.

A series of events is being planned to commemorate the center's first two decades and to look toward its future. The first such event was:
